Sushi Bella in Vancouver

Good food and service. The very high rating might be in part to the 15% discount for a Google review. Definitely not 5 star but a solid 4 star. Restaurant is clean, service is good and the food is fresh and well presented. Definitely on the higher end of a typical Vancouver sushi restaurant.

First time in Sushi Nova; clarified 2 rolls had real crab (not imitation crab) at time of ordering, then noticed it was imitation crab when served. BC roll had tempura salmon skin instead of fried as stated on the menu (which we wouldn't have ordered). Team tried to resolve issues with polite and prompt service but they also torched one roll that wasn't meant to be torched - which affected the taste in a way we didn't prefer. Overall they have fresh seafood and a nice thin layer of rice in their rolls; brown rice is a plus.

The food is very good. My kids and wife liked it a lot

The service is so much better than the previous Bella Sushi. They have the same chefs - the beef teriyaki was great and the prawn tempura was amazing. I was a little disappointed with my mango lover roll as the old lady mango roll was so much better. The service more than made up for any menu changes I need to get used to.

We found our new favourite place for sushi! Absolutely delicious! We had the Rocky Mountain, Mango, Kakiage, and Chopped Scallop Rolls, and the chicken yaki U-don. Oishi!Great service, too; efficient and friendly. Definitely a lovely place for a meal.

Second time trying out Sushi Nova and still impressed with the quality and price. We each got the Nova Special Bento had to split it to two meals. Everything in the photo you get in ONE bento. All made with attention. The chicken karage and chicken teriyaki might be a little dry but still a great deal.

Delicious and fresh food.Kids love their ikura nigiri and calamari.Aburi nigiri is awesome.Worth it.

When I went here for the first time months ago I was so impressed, went today for takeout and it was amazing again! Such good food and service. Don’t ever leave us :)

First tried this sushi on Christmas Day! Such a wonderful surprise that they were open. We especially love their signature roll. Will definitely be back soon!

I’m not sure if I can call this a hidden gem just because we just heard about it, but this has instantly become our go to spot for sushi. Amazing service, food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. Even basic items such as the green salad was perfect. Highly recommended!

I liked this place. If I lived in the neighborhood, I could see this place being my go-to sushi spot. The service was nice and prompt. The food quality was good. Menu is the standard Japanese food you find at most places.

Don't order from here if you're celiac or gluten free. We ordered via doordash and I put my usually message for sushi "GLUTEN ALLERGY: Please use separate knives and surfaces. Thank you <3" for one item I said "if spicy sauce has gluten make a negitoro roll". They saw that and swapped the spicy roll for the negitoro. The kitchen may have done their best here. But whoever packaged the rolls mixed the gf ones with the glutened rolls (containing sprinkles of tempura, sauces etc..).I'm sorry if someone says they have a nut allergy do you put it in the same container as the nut dishes??! ABSOLUTELY NOT. There was one roll not touching the rest. So I ate that one. And I shouldn't have, cause now I feel sick. If you're celiac please see this and learn from my mistake.

Had a great time at Sushi Nova! The food was amazing and the service was delightful. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Really tasty food! Some menu items are better than others, but we’ve ordered lots of stuff and haven’t been disappointed yet. Price is moderate, could definitely get cheaper sushi but probably not for this quality. Would recommend!

Don’t be fooled by all the 5 star reviews. One of the main reasons they have so many is because you get a discount if you leave them a review at the end of your meal. I have had several terrible experiences with this establishment. Waiting hours for my food to learn my order was given to someone else, hung up on, seen the staff moving food from one take out box to another using bare hands during COVID, being told they are closed when I can hear other orders being taken over the phone and am well within posted operating hours, the list goes on... With many other sushi options in the neighborhood, it would be a wise choice to go somewhere else.

Great sushi, great price! Service is fast and friendly. Vegetarian options are lacking a bit, but what they do offer is great. Spicy agedashi tofu is a must-try, always my favourite when I come here. Non-vegetarian options are fantastic.

Pretty good! The service is nice, a quiet place and really cozy! I will definitely come back. The popcorn roll was great, also the beef teriyaki.

Special rolls are unique and delicious. Sushi is fresh and there’s something for everyone here (vegetarians included). The veggie udon broth is great but really lacking on the amount of vegetables (1 broccoli, 1 mushroom, 1 cabbage).

They have an extensive menu, it was very hard to choose something because they have so many good options and the price is very reasonable. We got appetizer tempura, mango roll and Rocky Mountain roll. All were delicious and the service was fast and effective. We’ll come back whenever we are in the area. An extra point for larger tables than usual and holiday discount.

The fish was fresh and delicious. Good variety of special rolls. A bit on the pricey side. Nice location and decor - good overall ambiance. Attentive and friendly server.

Just ducked into this restaurant after a brief West 4th shopping stint. The staff is very friendly and there are a lot of options on the menu - so many special rolls that you could come back for months and still have something new to try. The gyu don was just delicious, perfect blend of sweet teriyaki sauce with savoury beef and egg, and the seafood teriyaki looked and smelled great - my eating partner commented that the veggies in the teriyaki were very good, stayed crisp!

Awesome spot. Great service. Tasty sushi. Upon being seated we were served a complimentary order of edamame and hot tea. Food service was quick and everything was presented very well. This may be our new go-to spot!

This was by far the absolute best U-don I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. The U-don noodles were very slippery so it took me 0 effort to devour the entire bowl. Usually I would need a glass of water or something to help bring the noodles down with my fast pace of eating but not at Sushi nova. Easily 5 stars. Fast service as well.

Love love love this place. Such good food! I love the BC Roll best. Their special roles are really tasty. And the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The location is amazing as well - right on 4th Avenue. It's within easy walking distance to Kits beach. What could be better!

Great sushi spot for combos! I really enjoy the set meal boxes, and the changing side dishes are always tasty and exciting. The tempura is particularly exceptional - the crispness of the batter is always perfect. There is currently a promotion giving discounts for reviews, but I do think this place is actually worth going to, and is my favourite in the immediate area!

Presentation and food was good. We really enjoyed the flavours. There was only one thing we didn't like which was the Dynamite Roll, the rice didn't taste fresh. But everything else was really good. I would come back to try other things on the menu. My kids also loved the chicken udon and edamame

The food and service were both great!!! The Osaka tray was so good!! I can try all different food. We also ordered I loved the presentation of Gozilla bite and spicy bomb roll was very delicious too.

Pretty presentation for take out, got the nova special bento. Maybe cause they were busy with orders, but the teriyaki chicken was dry. If you like more rice on your aburi sushi, you'll like this place. The salad was bomb though, so was the chopped scallop roll. Good deal for what it is but lacking a bit in quality. Probably better if you could eat it at the restaurant.

We love coming to Sushi Nova. We always enjoy our experience from waitstaff to chefs, everyone always makes us feel special, every single time! Brown rice options and many plant -based rolls to choose from too. Food is excellent and delicious.

Quiet restaurant with friendly service! Menu is large, there is an option for everyone! (Also good music playing!) Quality is really good. You won’t be disappointed.

A lovely sushi restaurant in the middle of Kitsilano on 4th Ave and very close to the beach.. their miso soup was the best I had I ever.. I ordered the Osaka platter and it was a lot for $19.. loved it.. loved their Takoyaki as well..highly recommended..

We came for dinner right after the new owners took over (mid-late Dec 2019). Food is still great, very tasty, lots of options, but the best thing is the service has improved CONSIDERABLY. The staff seem happy and are friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food came quickly too. Will happily eat here again!

Consistently our Go-to place for sushi. Outstanding service, and the sushi is always superb. If you like Salmon Oshi, this is the best I have ever had. Incredible selection of rolls too - just tried a new one today called the Evergreen roll, a beautiful vegetarian roll. Tempura is hot, crispy and fresh. The chef is always attentive and very skilled. Don’t miss this place. I think it’s the best sushi in Vancouver.

Good service butdontbe fooled by the super high rating. The sushi was average and the ingredients weren't all that fresh. Rice was a bit stale, but overall the flavours were good and it definitely filled me up. Just your average decent sushi joint among many in Vancouver. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again but if I'm craving some sushi on W4th then I might drop in again some time.

Ordered sushi nova for dinner tonight. One word: beautiful. I loved every bite, great quality ingredients, very fresh and very tasty. I will be back and will recommend to a friend.

Family-friendly restaurant with affordable prices. We came here as a party of 6 for dinner and averaged $15 per person.I’d highly recommend the set menus as they are generous with their portions. We tried their innovative Japanese-twist on tacos and had a blast.If you’re driving here, street parking on W 4th is hard to find and I’d recommend parking in the side streets.

I can only speak for the takeout but I was impressed. The chicken karaage was very crispy despite takeout, and the gomae was great. Obviously the sashimi quality was good too.

Had a great experience as my first time here! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they even asked if anyone had any allergies, which shows they care about their customers. I will definitely come back.
